The Dutch techno DJ has raised a $1M pre-seed round for GasLab, an AI music platform that says it trains only on music from consenting artists and labels and pays them according to an attribution record. It is an artist-founded answer to scraped AI, but no split, audit or consent terms have been published yet.

Musical AI, formerly Somms.ai, raised $4.5 million in a round led by Heavybit to scale software that estimates how much each licensed source contributed to a generated track. It is the plumbing per-output royalties depend on, and the research says it estimates influence rather than proves it.
