A desk review of four AI mastering options from what their makers publish, with no scores yet. Prices and features are easy to compare. The real differences are in the terms, from eMastered's clause letting it train on uploads, to LANDR's opt-in training programme, to Ozone, which runs in your DAW and needs no upload at all.

We compared five stem splitters on what their makers publish about price, limits, formats, where your audio is processed and what happens to it afterwards. Nothing is scored until we've tested them. On paper, the biggest differences aren't stem counts. They're how much each "we don't train on your files" promise actually covers, and whether you can see the price before you sign up.

All four run in a browser and have a free plan, but the free plans differ more than the marketing suggests. Audiotool says its free plan has no caps, BandLab's stops at 16 tracks, Soundtrap builds text and video chat into its live collaboration, and Veena adds an AI co-producer with a daily allowance and a five-project limit.
